World Food Day 2024: AGSN committed to the right to healthy food

On the occasion of World Food Day, celebrated on October 16, the African Green Granary Network (AGSN) joins the global call to raise awareness and promote concrete action in the fight against hunger. This year's theme, “The right to food for a better life and future”, resonates deeply with our commitments.

AGSN: Collaboration and knowledge sharing to fight hunger in Africa

The AGSN network, with over 33 educational institutions in more than 12 African countries, is a community of practice dedicated to capacity building and the implementation of practical innovations. Our members exchange knowledge and collaborate on projects aimed at empowering young people, combating unemployment and redefining food security through sustainable agricultural practices.

Agricultural Training: A Pillar in the Fight Against Hunger

We firmly believe that empowering young people is essential to building a better future. By providing training opportunities and promoting knowledge exchange, AGSN helps prepare the next generation of farmers to meet tomorrow's food challenges. Our projects encourage collaboration between members, to innovate and respond effectively to local food security needs.

On this World Food Day, we call on everyone to join us in defending the right to healthy, nutritious food for all. Together, we can fight hunger and promote sustainable agricultural practices that guarantee food security in Africa.
