AGSN: Heading for the Future with Transformative Resolutions from the Executive Board

On 15 September 2024, the Executive Board of the African Green Store Network (AGSN) met at the Suru Express Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria, for an ordinary session aimed at strengthening the effectiveness and sustainability of the network. Under the moderation of Dr. Trinitas Senganimalunje, members adopted resolutions that will mark a turning point for the AGSN.



Highlights of the Meeting

1. Improved Communication

To facilitate exchanges, an AGSN-Ad Hoc WhatsApp group will be created, allowing leaders to coordinate effectively on projects and initiatives.


2. Clarification of Roles

The distribution of responsibilities has been reviewed:

  • President: General supervision and coordination of administrative activities.

  • 1st Vice President: Financial and Social Affairs Management.

  • 2nd Vice President: Responsibility for education and training.



3. Strengthening the Secretariat

The general secretariat will be supported by the addition of new members, Ms. Tsegui Ermine and Dr. Moussa Kanté, to ensure efficient management of projects.


4. Innovative Financial Strategies

The Bureau decided to establish ad-hoc committees for specific tasks, with Prof. Kibe heading the Project Development Committee, aimed at diversifying funding sources.


5. Legal Registration of the AGSN

A mandate was given to the President to explore options to legalize the AGSN as an official organization, thereby strengthening our credibility and impact.


6. Organization of Events

Mr. Patrick Bayamna and R. Levis Ouedraogo have been appointed to plan upcoming events, including conferences and general meetings, to promote knowledge sharing.


7. Work Themes Undertaken

Thematic groups were formed to address crucial issues such as sustainability, agroecology and renewable energies, allowing for targeted and constructive exchanges.



8. Communication and Visibility

Dr. Ajayi was brought on board to develop an impactful communications strategy to promote AGSN activities and increase its visibility.


9. Network Expansion

Dr. Trinitas Senganimalunje has been tasked with overseeing the development of AGSN in Mozambique, expanding our reach across the continent.

This meeting marked a turning point for the AGSN, laying the foundations for a more dynamic and committed network.
