Building on the success of our network's inaugural 2024 annual conference, we are delighted to announce the second edition, set to take place in Tunisia in 2025.
The theme of this conference edition, "Agroecological Transition in Africa: Sustainable Animal Production and Ecosystem Services for Resource Preservation," will examine sustainable animal production and regenerative agriculture issues. It will also explore opportunities to encourage youth involvement in agroecological practices.
The conference in Tunisia aims to enhance Pan-African knowledge exchange by linking African agricultural training centers, thereby strengthening the connections between various regions and their training institutions.

Conference objectives:
The objectives of the 2025 AGSN conference include:
- Enhancing the role of regenerative agriculture within agricultural training centers
- Advocating for sustainable practices in animal production
- Encouraging the involvement of youth in sustainable agriculture
- Fostering Pan-African cooperation and the sharing of knowledge among agricultural education institutions.
Conference date: April 27 - May 4, 2025
Conference Host: Lycée Sectoriel de la Formation Professionnelle Agricole de Thibar, Tunisia.


Selection Criteria:
· Be a lecturer, trainer, or manager from an AGSN member institution with expertise in animal production, regenerative agriculture, or resource management.
· Demonstrate commitment to collaboration and advancing collective efforts for sustainable agriculture in Africa.
· Be nominated by your institution, supported by a written statement.
· Pledge to disseminate and perpetuate the content of the conference within your institution.
· Be committed to the annual membership fee of the AGSN network.
Additional Information:
· We strongly encourage the participation of youth and women.
· Partial funding is available for participants to cover international flights, accommodation, catering, and local transportation during the conference.
· In a spirit of engagement and solidarity, participants are encouraged to seek funding from their home institutions whenever possible. Please refrain from requesting full support if you can sufficiently or to some extent be provided by your home institution.
· Visa processing fees will be reimbursed, up to a defined limit (tba upon selection).
· Meal expenses on arrival and departure days will be reimbursed following AGSN's reimbursement policy, if incurred.
Participants cover their local transport to the airport.
